It is time to register for Vacation Bible School! You are invited to join us for Athens VBS on August 11-15 from 6 to 8 pm. Our VBS program is for children pre-k through adults. Download a VBS registration form and family letter below. Each participant will need to fill out a registration form. Please fill out a registration form and drop it off at the church office or mail it to our church address: Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church, 2010 Carlisle Avenue, Richmond, VA 23231.

This summer we will be traveling to Athens at Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church to be a part of Paul’s dangerous journey to share the truth. Would you like to help out and be a volunteer? Be sure to talk to Claire and let her know where you would like to help out!

Back-to-School Celebration

There will be a Back-to-School Celebration at the Church Hill Christian Wellness Center in early August. Toiletry bags (toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, washcloths, mouthwash, deodorant, and soap), children’s underwear, and socks will be distributed. Be alert for shopping bargains this summer. Please bring these items to the church and place them on the missions table located in the Fellowship Hall. Thank you for your support.

Happy Father’s Day

Happy Father’s Day! A father anchors his family in faith. Let us honor the men who find strength in the Lord and shape our lives as believers. “The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts; so I am helped, and my heart exults, and with my song, I give thanks to him.” (Psalm 28:7) Men of God make a difference as they embrace faith with their families. Let us praise and celebrate the men in our church and community. We hope that you enjoy your potted plant created by the CABC kids.

Happy Mother’s Day! A family’s greatest treasure is a mother of faith. Let us honor and treasure our mothers for the influence they have had in shaping our lives as believers. The Bible says, “Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.” (Proverbs 31:31) As we honor our mother’s on this particular day, let us also honor and praise all women of faith at Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church who have formed faith in our children’s lives. You are beautiful, loved, and blessed! As you plant the seeds of love, may God bless you! I hope each one of you has a lovely Mother’s Day.
